Bullas is the nearest
D.O. (denominaciones de origen) or recognised wine region to the
Mill. It is the newest of the Murcian regions and although
it covers a vast area it is not heavily planted with vines. The
vines planted are usually the Monastrell variety (known in France
as Mourvedre) which traditionally was accepted to produce non descript
red wines for blending.
Recently, however things have changed and a few
bodegas have began to put Bullas on the map of Spanish wine.
The links below are to two of the Bullas
bodegas' and also the Council-run Bullas town site.
